Let's say you've been tearing through Blaine County and Los Santos having a good time, but you've grown tired of it. It seems sense that you would search for other games that are similar to GTA in that situation. Although Rockstar keeps teasing us with GTA 6, many people have been living within there since 2013, and we still have a long wait ahead of us. While you wait, there are several more ways to satisfy your hunger for a GTA-flavored alternative. We've compiled a list of our favorites for you. To keep you occupied until we see where Grand Theft Auto will take us next, here are eleven games that are similar to GTA.
RED DEAD REVOLVER 2
Given that Red Dead Redemption and the GTA series are both produced by the same company, you can probably understand why this is possible. Red Dead Redemption 2 offers exactly the same ideals as GTA in terms of gameplay freedom that feels alive, a dedication to incorporating even the smallest details, and morally dubious characters acting in unethical ways. Red Dead Redemption 2 is worth checking out if you're in the mood for some GTA action, but it'd be oversimplifying to label it "Grand Theft Auto with horses."
INJUSTICE 4
Because it gives you, the player, an incredible amount of options, Just Cause 4 revels in new heights of chaos. Check. Wingsuit is present. If you liked the physics in Grand Theft Auto 5, wait until you see what you can do here. Just Cause 4 only misses Rockstar's flagship game's narrative depth and mechanical finesse. Still, it succeeds in choreographing mayhem on a grand scale with its (literally) sky-high approach.
PLAY DOGS 2
Do you still play Grand Theft Auto 5's "LifeInvader" quest? Even though Watch Dogs 2 is much bigger, it is almost same. Although Ubisoft's and Rockstar's regional satire still has a slight edge, Watch Dogs 2 will make anybody who has had to sit through an Apple presentation for hours laugh out loud. How awesome is it that you get to utilize pool balls that have been attached to bungee cable as weapons?
0 YAKUZA
Grand Theft Auto has long been hailed for bringing cities to life and for cramming its virtual environments with a variety of fun side activities. Yakuza 0 fully embraces and applies this design tenet. Yakuza 0 features karaoke, pool, arcades, wrestling, bowling, dance, gambling, and... uncomfortably viewing some sexual stuff in the back of a video shop, while Theft Auto 5 features tennis, yoga, and stock trading. Even if not all side activities have beautiful designs, as the final one shows, there are still a staggering number of possibilities available. Yakuza's scope is far less than GTA's, but what it lacks in quantity, it makes up for in quality (quirky, crazy).
SLEEPING DOGS
Sleeping Dogs, a 2012 unexpected hit, combines martial arts and B-movie stunt action with elements of the open-world criminal genre. It's stunning how the tip effect makes a robbing Auto game appear to be a vintage role-playing movie. Sleeping Dogs is a rare treasure that merits more credit for the new concepts it offered since the sequel, which purportedly included a co-op campaign, was canceled while it was still in the early stages of production. There's no reason to keep Sleeping Dogs on the back burner going forward, especially when the game was even re-released on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2014. (sorry).
MAFIA 3
There haven't been any Grand Theft Auto games without some sort of Mafia connection, thus 2 K's Mafia series makes sense as a starting point for fans of open-world games who like gangster culture. Rockstar has higher regard for Hangar 13's most recent Mafia 3 release, which offers a variety of side activities and a narrative that centers on a war veteran trying to escape the pursuing demons from his previous life. Because it is larceny auto, the rich, slow-burning story has the most inspiration from The Godfather and Goodfellas, and it is written so brilliantly that you'll forget you're playing a video game. instead of taking in a Scorsese movie.
